Ahem

Hey guys! Two small orders of business today:

First: Woah!! :heart: :heart: Thank you so much, :iconvolandweredragon:, for my newest subscription!! :hug: I don't think I'm really worth getting a sub for at this point, since I haven't been active at all, but thank you so much! I will try to put it to good use! ^^

Second: Apparently, a couple of peeps from university have stumbled upon my dA. *cringe* I'm super embarrassed about "RL" people seeing my stuff, but I guess there's not much I can do about it, so welcome, I suppose! XD

I guess that's all!

Oh, also, there are only a couple of weeks of classes left, and then exams. After that, I will probably be able to "get my art on" again, and hopefully I'll be a little more active! Woo!

She's Ba-ack~

Hey guys! I'm back from Toronto and back to university.

Toronto was pretty awesome, but the Pacific Mall was nothing like I expected it would be. XD It was kinda claustrophobic... all of those little shops crammed in together like that. :0

Anyway, I'm back, and I'll hopefully be a little more active now. Though I'm going to start getting a crapload of assignments and whatnot pretty soon, so who knows. D:

I'll try, though! ;_;

...Twilight?!

OH, OH!! Also, over the holidays, I tried to read Twilight!! XD I mean, I'm a hater, don't get me wrong, but I don't really like hating on something that I don't really know about. Since I haven't read or seen Twilight, my only interpretation of it was what people were saying about it online. And sometimes people blow things out of proportion.

Though I was already hating Twilight for two valid (for me) reasons:
1. Marketing - I hate it when adults target susceptible audiences (like (pre)pubescent girls) for marketing.
2. Prop 8 - Apparently Stephenie Meyer supports it (she gives tithes to the Mormon church, and some of that goes towards Prop 8, and there have also been rumors that she donates straight to it herself).

Anyway, I'd heard that the books were terribly written, but I needed to see what the hype was about for myself. Heck, if I read it, maybe I would even like it!

...I made it through, I think, twelve chapters before my eyeballs started bleeding. If you've read Twilight, it was the chapter after he "glitters in the sunlight". I ALMOST wanted to keep reading, but I just could not stand the writing style. It's incredibly bland! The story is told from the first-person perspective of the main character, and I swear, the ONLY time she ever feels emotion is when she's wangsting or swooning over Edward. It's pretty much a "boring day at school" story with every third word replaced with EDWARD. Random bouts of "exciting events" are thrown in the story at random SOLELY so Bella can get her butt in trouble and Edward can SWOOP IN DRAMATICALLY to save her.

Anyway, anyway... I'm not going to rant any more than that, because I know everyone has heard it before... And some of you probably like Twilight, so I don't want to get in too over my head here. xD; Basically, it's just not my kind of book. Maybe I'm just not "romantic" enough to fall under its spell.

Oh, but I did write a one-sentence review for Twilight! Here it is:
Twilight is the worst Dracula fanfic I have ever read.

All right, I'm done. ^^;

Ridin' Santa's Sleigh to Toronto

Ahoy! :3

I'm going to be in Toronto for some of the Christmas break, and I was wondering if anyone knows about the GTA and would have any ideas of awesome, touristy crap I could do while there. x3

I've been having some family... turbulence lately, and we're going to Toronto over Christmas as a sort of distraction, so the more awesome distractions you guys can come up with, the better! : D

My roommates have suggested that I go to the Pacific Mall to buy them Gundams and TVXQ merchandise, which is apparently a very large, Asiantastic mall, full of video games and karaoke and bubble tea and SUNSHINE. Looking online, I'm seeing a lot of mixed reviews for the place (some people say it's awesome, and some people say all of the stores are the same and some stores sell too much bootleg/fake merchandise), so if anyone has been to the Pacific Mall, let me know what you think.

Other than that, I'm not sure what to do. XD So please let me know if you've been to or live near Toronto!

I'm all for Asian weeaboo crap (like sushi!), but I'm sure my mom would appreciate some more old-school Canadian ideas, as well.

Also, I'm sorry for being inactive. University and exams have been rather consuming. ^^; (Fortunately, exams are almost over now. Phew.)
I hope you're all doing well and are having an awesome holiday season so far! :3

Ohay.

Behold the EPIC FAIL that is Cubie!

...who has not updated her dA in two months.

I'm sorry, guys. D: I'm a gigantic loser. I haven't had very much time for the internets or drawing lately. I wouldn't be surprised if nobody remembered who I am anymore. >_>;

Anyway, I have moved out and am going to university now. And it actually didn't seem like that much of a transition. My roomies are pretty awesome, so I settled in to living in some guy's basement (aka: our apartment) pretty quickly. And university is pretty cool, as well. Fortunately, first year is hecka easy. It's pretty much like high school, except with more responsibility. xD Math and Physics are basically just relearning what I learned in grade 11 and 12. I'm glad, since I've been out of school for two years and haven't retained any of that knowledge. xD;

How have you guys been? Any crazy new stuff going on?
Let me know! I've been out of the loop for a while! (Sorry again. >_> )

Movin'

Ahoy folks!

I'm just about ready to leave, so you might not hear from me for a day or two, depending on how long it takes me to buy a computer.

And I finally started getting nervous last night. It started when I was lying in bed, and has gotten progressively worse. XD I'm such a momma's girl. Hopefully I'll calm down over the two-hour drive there.

Also, Tiberius does not approve of being taken out of his tank and put in a little travel terrarium.

(Oh, and if you missed my last journal, I'm moving out today. That's what this is all about.)
